Leslie A. Guyer, CMC, is a professionally certified city clerk. She is the elected Northwest District Director for the Florida Association of City Clerks. The Florida League of Cities appointed Leslie to the Legislative Municipal Administrative Policy Committee in August.
The City Clerk maintains custody of the municipal seal, attests to and signs official contracts, documents, and maintains receipt of legal documents. The City Clerk carries out statutory duties as required by the Mayor and Council, City Attorney and City Manager. The City Clerk serves as the records management liaison officer for the city and has the care and custody of the records, books, papers, legal documents, and journals of proceedings of the City Council. The City Clerk administers the process for citizen appointments to the various boards, authorities, and commissions for the City Council. She is the filing officer for municipal elections and coordinates with the Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections.
The City Clerk’s Office is also responsible for the city’s central bidding and procurement.
