Councilwoman Brittany Simpson was appointed to the Gulf Breeze City Council on February 5, 2024, filling a seat vacancy due to the December 30th resignation of Todd Torgersen.The term for Seat C ends in December 2024.

Councilwoman Simpson has an impressive background as an organization development consultant for tax-exempt organizations, policy development, and local community involvement
Brittany graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s of Arts in industrial/organizational psychology. Her career experience lies primarily in the healthcare industry having served in progressive human resources and organizational development roles with Ascension for 14 years, having specialized in leadership development. Other relevant career experience includes serving as a leader of a startup company designed to support integrated care delivery systems and several years of organizational culture assessment and change consulting in healthcare, not-for-profit, and higher education institutions. She most recently joined Lockheed Martin as a Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant and coach.
Brittany is a certified facilitator of the Enneagram, the Human Performance Institute’s Energy Management program, and holds an advanced certification in Hoggan Assessment interpretation. Brittany recently completed coach certification training with Newfield Network.
Brittany stays busy in the community through her two sons’ academic and athletic activities. Both boys are active in Gulf Breeze Sports Association athletics including recreational basketball, baseball, and flag football. Brittany was a member of Gulf Breeze Rotary from 2017-2021. She served as the Public Relations Director from 2019-2021 and was recognized by her club with the Service Above Self Award in 2021 for her contributions to the annual Gumbo Cook-Off. Brittany is a 2023 Citizens Academy graduate.
