The City of Gulf Breeze Citizens Academy is a free, 8-week, one-hour virtual course that provides an opportunity for its residents to learn about City government through interactive classes designed to provide insight and an up-close and personal look at how City government functions and helps shape our community. Please note that the classes will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
Join retired Gulf Breeze City Manager Buz Eddy as he facilitates virtual talks with City Officials and challenges Academy members as a “think tank” for ways to improve Gulf Breeze. Through virtual presentations, participants will also gain a better understanding of the part Gulf Breeze city government plays in the quality of life that residents enjoy.
The Citizens Academy will begin February 11, 2021, with classes being held twice a month between February – April, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. Participants are expected to virtually attend all classes to receive a Certificate of Completion at a graduation ceremony to take place during a future City Council meeting.
