The City Of Gulf Breeze Supports Fdot’s Phased Approach To Reopening The Three Mile Bridge

The City of Gulf Breeze supports FDOT’s phased approach to reopening the Three Mile Bridge restoring connectivity between the Cities of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. While the delayed completion of the project is not ideal, the City is appreciative of FDOT’s efforts to identify a solution that brings much needed relief to our businesses and travel-weary residents.
The safety of those commuting over the bridge is our main priority as well as emergency response. The City will continue to work with FDOT to maximize safety and to optimize the flow of traffic once the bridge reopens. We ask that our residents remain patient and continue to use alternative routes if possible.
The City would like to recognize the workers who have worked tirelessly to repair and complete construction of the bridge over the past five months. We know that it has not been an easy task and we express sincere appreciation.
