FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Friday, December 20th, the Fairpoint Regional Water System, Inc. (FRUS) transmission main,
which provides drinking water to all of South Santa Rosa County, experienced a catastrophic
failure. As a result, the affected line will be shut down for repairs until further notice.

The Gulf Breeze Regional Water System utilizes water from the ECUA as a contingency back up during
events such as this. Water conservation is critical during this time.
Please be mindful of your water usage.
