Public Works provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of everyone who lives and works in Gulf Breeze and is made up of three divisions: Public Services, Development Services, and Gulf Breeze Regional Water System (GBRWS).
The Department's key responsibilities consists of: Development review, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of the City's infrastructure, including water, sewer, natural gas, streets, ditches, sidewalks, traffic control, solid waste and operation of the City's waste transfer station.

Director of Public WorksDavid Forte is the Development Services Manager and is responsible for providing technical support in the construction, operations, monitoring, and regulatory compliance required to operate and maintain the water systems, collection systems, wastewater treatment facility, natural gas system, streets and roads, stormwater system, solid waste, the City’s rights-of-way, and GIS & Mapping.
