Councilwoman Brittany Simpson was appointed to the Gulf Breeze City Council on February 5, 2024, to fill a vacancy following the resignation of Todd Torgersen on December 30, 2023. She was elected unopposed and sworn in for a new term on December 5, 2024.
Professional Background
Councilwoman Simpson is a Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant and Coach for Lockheed Martin. She is an accomplished organization development consultant with extensive experience in policy development, leadership training, and cultural transformation.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of West Florida. Her career spans over 14 years in the healthcare industry with Ascension, where she specialized in leadership development and held various progressive roles in human resources and organizational development.

In 2015, Brittany and her husband, Michael Simpson, moved back to Gulf Breeze to raise their two sons, Kai (11) and Beau (9), from Greenville, SC. They built a home in 2017 and enjoy having their sons Kai and Beau enrolled in Gulf Breeze public schools.
